This certification addresses the technical skills needed by a Mac OS X specialist who works at a help desk or otherwise assists Mac OS X users with technical issues. The currently required exam is based on Mac OS X v10.4.

The ACHDS certification is an excellent starting point for Mac IT professionals. It demonstrates a solid understanding of how to work with and troubleshoot Mac OS X. The training materials available also provide very solid coverage of every area of how Mac OS X functions—in addition to troubleshooting strategies.
