Test-Taking Tips

  • Take your test on a date that will be certain to get your test scores to the schools of your choice before their deadline for admission - The scores reports are mailed four-six weeks after the examination. If the school does not receive it within 6 weeks, a new score will be sent at no charge.
  • Apply as early as possible - This will help you make certain that your testing site is where you wish it to be. In addition, if there was a mistake filling out the form, you will have time to correct it without having to pay needless additional fees.

  • Use an overnight courier service - (UPS, Post Office, Fed Express, etc.) to be certain your packet gets to the Psychological Testing Company if you are near the deadline. If you mail it with plenty of time to spare, send it registered mail, return receipt requested.
  • Be certain to review your application and fill in all the blanks, and obtain a money order in the correct amount - If you fail to complete the application completely, you will get it back. Be certain to sign the application!. Remember personal checks, credit cards, and cash are not accepted.

  • Fill in the blanks - Fillin the circles with a #2 lead pencil as your application is "read" by an optical scanner. The scanner cannot read ball point pens, hard or colored lead pencils, felt tip pens.

  • The application form should be filled incompletely - Leave no blank unfilled unless you are positive that it does not apply to you. Failure to completely fill out your application and send in the appropriate fee by money order will cause the application to be returned to you.

  • Checklist before submission - 1. Fill in correct circles for your name and address 2. Fill incorrect circles for code numbers for schools toreceive reports 3. Choose a testing center and fill in the correct circles 4. Choose themonth you wish to be tested 5. Calculate your fee(s) 6. Sign your application.
